I have a job

Yes, I've been busy. Please bear with me as my life re-adjusts once more to take some changes into account. Apologies to all the people that keep trying to get or stay in touch with me. My voicemail box tends to be full.

It is not really a new job, since the old job consisted of being a self-employed consultant, which is less of a job and more of a way of life. Since this is the first contract I ever signed without a pre-set termination date, in some ways I'm starting on my first "real" job. Heh.

This will mean (if I get through my trial period, gna gna) I'm no longer available for all those fun consulting gigs.

No, I can't say what the work is about yet, so please don't ask. Secret stuff which involves a whole lot of software. We've been told "things" will become "more public" "real soon". I hope so. Secrets are no fun.

(Yes, I'll be at ApacheCon next week. In fact, I'm doing a presentation on Really Big Builds. Better go finish my slides...)
